    We are recruiting a Commissioning Executive to join our Industry Briefing team, which covers the automotive, consumer goods, energy, financial services, healthcare and telecommunications sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive contributor network for our Industry reports and products.

    Accountabilities

    In the role you would be expected to:

    • Build and maintain a comprehensive network of industry freelance writers and editors.
    • Co-ordinate output with others in Industry Publishing and the wider EIU as required.
    • Work with budgets to co-ordinate timely payments to contributors.
    • Monitor sources of information on industries.
    • Meet targets for timeliness and article quantity.
    • Ensure standards of editorial quality are met at all times.
    • Observe good standards of office behaviour.

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    To succeed in the role you must have:

    • Strong command of written English. 
    • Familiarity with one or more industry sectors.
    • Strong communication, time management and multi-tasking abilities.
    • A good level of general education.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Proficiency in a major foreign language other than English may also be an advantage.

    You will be able to demonstrate:

    • Quick decision-making skills.
    • A sharp eye for detail.
    • Ability to perform calmly and effectively under time pressure.
    • A good grounding in corporate practice.
    • Ability to work well within a diverse team.
