    We are recruiting a Lead .NET Developer to join our rapidly growing Digital team in Gurgaon. As we look to accelerate our drive towards becoming a digitally enabled business, we are actively changing our landscape, embracing cloud technologies, microservices, focusing on delivering both rapidly and reliably.

     

    We want you to come and help us drive up the quality of our products, to enable us to embrace these new technologies and the impact they can have on our business.

     

    This role will be part of our Gurgaon team, which is connected to a wider Global presence across London and New York. Some flexibility will be required to work with some crossover with London and New York.

    Accountabilities

    In the role you would be expected to:

     

    Do application development

    • Develop web pages in ASP.NET web forms, ASP.NET MVC and Classic ASP
    • Develop MS SQL tables, stored procedures, T-SQL
    • Develop business logic components in C# .NET
    • Deliver application features within the Scrum sprint schedules
    • Manage team and application dependencies when committing code to source code control
    • Unit test and review code to meet quality standards
    • Diagnose and resolve production issues

    Carry out team management

    • Manage the development team to deliver within the Scrum sprint schedules
    • Manage and communicate project tasks and priorities. Ensure high team productivity.
    • Mentor team members to improve skills that increase team effectiveness (e.g. technical, communication, planning)
    • Communicate and institute common technical and operational standards. Improve development consistency and quality.

    Carry out project management and planning

    • Work in an Agile Scrum process where team communication and flexibility are highly valued
    • Review and estimate business requirements and user stories
    • Break down user stories into development tasks
    • Participate in design sessions and create technical design documents

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    To succeed in this role you must have:

    • 5-8 yrs in an ASP.NET and SQL development role
    • 1-2 yrs experience in a technical lead or architect role
    • 3-5 yrs experience in team management and agile development methodologies
    • Additional experience a plus
      • Classic ASP
      • SVN + Git source code control
      • Web Content management systems
      • iOS and Android mobile development
      • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

     You will be able to demonstrate:

    • Developing websites using C#, ASP.NET 3.5, MVC 4 or higher
    • Expertise with Visual Studio 2010 or higher
    • Database modelling and T-SQL development in MS SQL Server 2008 or higher
    • Configuring and managing websites in IIS7.5 and Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher
    • Experience developing with HTML5, CSS, JQuery and Javascript
